These are some problems kids are having. Being super second graders, you can help them solve their problems. Think of what we have learned about being fair and good citizens in second grade. Write your response to the students below to help them solve their problem. Be sure to use their names.
DeShawn wants to be part of a club that his friends made up. To join this club, you must say something hurtful to another person in your class. The boys in the club say DeShawn can’t be their friend if he doesn’t join.
Explain what should DeShawn do and why?
During lunch, Kendra showed Vikki an MP3 player. Kendra said she stole it from their teacher’s desk. Kendra said she’d never speak to Vikki again if she told anyone. Later, the teacher asked if anyone knew what happened to the player.
Explain what should Vikki do and why?
Mary really likes her friend Christy. She thinks Christy is fun and creative. But Mary’s other friends don’t like Christy. They think she is weird. They make fun of Mary for hanging out with her and have begun talking to Mary less. Mary wishes they could all be friends.

Tiffany and Lisa are each having a birthday party on the same day. Summer is invited to both
parties. Summer fears that if she goes to one friend’s party, she will disappoint her other friend. Summer likes Tiffany and Lisa, and does not want to lose their friendship.Explain what should Summer do and why?
Deshawn should tell his taecher or parent his problem and let them take care of it. After school Vikki should tell her parents so her parents could explain to the teacher. Mary should tell her other friends how she feels like and tell her friends to just play with Christy for one day to get to known her better. Instead of Summer going to her friends party she could give her friends presents and they could all have a play date all together.

Mary should talk to her friends. She should say can you please stop bullying my friend. And then can be friends. And they can have a play date or something. So they were friends forever.

I think that DeShawn should not be mean to a person in his class. I do not think DeShawn should not be mean to any one in his class because they will be mean back, and he will be a Bully. And that’s why I think he should not be mean to any one in DeShawn’s class.

I think summer should tell her should friends that she can not come to there party’s because she is sick. And if they say why she should hang-up. And if she has time to go to both she should.

Deshawn should tell her teacher that they are doing it. And then they will maybe be friends and they will let her in the club. And she should say that’s not very nice lets not make a club. But if they do make a nother club they should let every one in.
